žNa Oddelku za biodiverziteto v sodelovanju s kolegi iz tujine za vas organizirajo mednarodno poletno šolo z naslovom: "Science how to write and talk about it" . Vabljeni, da se pridružite. Ker bo potekala v začetku študijskega leta, ko nekateri izmed vas zopet redno študirate, bodo aktivnosti razporejene v kasnejše pozno popoldanske termine (in kakšen vikend termin). S tem bodo omogočili, da se boste aktivnosti lahko udeležili vsi, ki vas to zanima. Študenti, ki boste uspešno zaključili z aktivnostmi poletne šole boste poleg bogate izkušnje pisanja in predstavljanja vsebin, prejeli 3 ECTS, ki jih bo možnost uveljaviti tudi, kot del rednih študijskih obveznosti.
OPIS POLETNE ŠOLE
Vas zanima kako bolje zasnovati, napisati in učinkovito predstaviti znanstveno delo? Potem je ta poletna šola priložnost, ki vam bo pomagala pri tem, da ta cilj tudi dosežete.
Poletna šola je naprednega nivoja, namenjena predvsem magistrskim in doktorskim študentom, a tudi mladim diplomantom ter mladim raziskovalcem s področja biologije, varstva narave in sorodnih ved. Hkrati k prijavi spodbujajo tudi motivirane dodiplomske študente višjih letnikov.
V dveh tednih boste udeleženci spoznali:
- pripravo znanstvenih člankov, plakatov in ustnih predstavitev,
- oblikovanje tabel in grafov za članke in plakate,
- veščine javnega nastopanja in predstavitve na konferencah,
- stukturiranje in pisanje diplomskih, magistrskih in doktorskih del.
Poleg predavanj bodo potekale tudi individualne konzultacije, ki bodo podprle samostojno delo udeležencev, program pa bo dopolnjen s seminarji o raziskavah v brazilskem Pantanalu.

- Prijave bodo odprte za motivirane študente in mlade raziskovalce, ki želijo izboljšati svoje akademske veščine in samozavest pri pisanju ter predstavitvah znanstvenih vsebin.
- Prijave se odprejo v petek, 29. 8. 2025 in potekajo do 15. 9. 2025. Prijavi je potrebno predložiti motivacijsko pismo.

The Department of Biodiversity, in collaboration with international colleagues, is organizing an international summer school titled "Science – How to Write and Talk About It". You are warmly invited to join!
Since the summer school will take place at the beginning of the academic year, when some of you are returning to regular studies, the activities will be scheduled in the late afternoon hours (and possibly on some weekends). This way, everyone interested will be able to participate.
Students who successfully complete the summer school activities will not only gain valuable experience in scientific writing and presenting but will also receive 3 ECTS credits, which can potentially be recognized as part of your regular study obligations.
DESCRIPTION OF THE SUMMER SCHOOL
Are you interested in learning how to better structure, write, and effectively present scientific work? Then this summer school is an opportunity that will help you achieve that goal.
The summer school is at an advanced level, primarily intended for master’s and doctoral students, as well as recent graduates and early-career researchers in the fields of biology, nature conservation, and related sciences. Motivated senior undergraduate students are also encouraged to apply.
Over the course of two weeks, participants will learn about:

preparing scientific articles, posters, and oral presentations,

designing tables and graphs for papers and posters,
-
public speaking skills and conference presentations,
-
structuring and writing undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral theses.
In addition to lectures, individual consultations will support participants’ independent work, and the program will be enriched with research seminars conducted in the Brazilian Pantanal.
