Thursday, 21 May 2026 New book titled Radar-Based Human-Computer Interaction has been published by Springer Nature

We are pleased to announce that Springer Nature has published the new book Radar-Based Human-Computer Interaction, edited and co-authored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Klen Čopič Pucihar from the Department of Information Sciences and Technologies at UP FAMNIT. Prof. Dr. Matjaž Kljun, also from the Department of Information Sciences and Technologies at UP FAMNIT, made an important contribution to the book as a co-author of several chapters.

The book explores how radar enables reliable, contactless sensing of human presence, gesture-based interaction, and the recognition of user intentions without physical contact. Through scientific and technical contributions by experts in radar engineering, signal processing, human-computer interaction, computational modelling, and machine learning, it presents techniques and tools for signal processing, provides an overview of publicly available datasets, and highlights new applications involving radar-based sensing.

Radar-Based Human-Computer Interaction lays the foundations for this emerging interdisciplinary field. It addresses researchers and professionals interested in developing the next generation of reliable, adaptive, and privacy-preserving user interfaces using radar technology.
