Monday, 16 March 2026 UP published the call for young researchers, generation 2026

UP has published a call for young researchers who will train for the profession of researcher and carry out doctoral studies at UP in the next four years. In 2026, four vacancies are announced under following mentors, UP faculties/institute and research fields:

  • Assist. prof. dr. Slobodan Filipovski, UP IAM (Mathematics),
  • Dr. Aleksander Simonič, UP FAMNIT (Mathematics),
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Michael Burnard, UP IAM (Cognitive Neuroscience, Psychology, Architecture, Design),
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jana Hojnik, UP FM (Administrative and organisational sciences).

Candidates who have completed a second-level study program in the last four years and have an average grade in all exams and coursework including the grade of the Master's thesis of at least 8.00, can apply for the call until June 16, 2026.

One young researcher will be selected for each mentor. UP will enter into a full-time, fixed-term employment contract with the selected young researchers.
