Wednesday, 1 July 2026 UP FAMNIT at the SIS-FENStatS 2026 Joint Meeting

Assist. Prof. Dr. Ana Slavec, Research Associate at UP FAMNIT and researcher at InnoRenew CoE and UP IAM, participated in the SIS-FENStatS 2026 Joint Meeting, which brought together the 53rd Scientific Meeting of the Italian Statistical Society (SIS) and the 1st Scientific Meeting of the Federation of European National Statistical Societies (FENStatS). The event took place from 22 to 25 June 2026 at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.

Dr. Ana Slavec presented a poster entitled How Citizen Science Supports Statistical Reasoning and chaired a session on statistical literacy. The programme also featured a presentation by Assist. Dr. Ana Zalokar from the Department of Mathematics UP FAMNIT, entitled Statistical Games: Activities to Promote Statistical Literacy in Early Childhood, co-authored with Dr Lara Lusa from the University of Primorska.

The joint meeting gathered researchers, experts, and representatives from both national and international institutions to share knowledge about the development, uses, and current challenges in statistical science.
