RIN Seminar on Accessibility of Public Sector Websites and Mobile Apps

On 23 February, a Monday RIN seminar titled 'Accessibility of Public Sector Websites and Mobile Apps ' was held.

The seminar was led by Gašper Žuber, an advisor at the Slovenian Administrative Academy within the Ministry of Public Administration. He specializes in quality and accessibility in the public sector, monitors and promotes compliance with Slovenian accessibility laws based on international standards, and regularly presents on accessibility in public services.

In this presentation, Žuber explained why accessibility matters for all users, common pitfalls in creating accessible online content, and practical steps participants could take to make websites, mobile apps, and public documents more inclusive. The lecturer also shared insights on typical accessibility errors, such as missing alternative text for images, issues with keyboard navigation, and inaccessible PDF documents, and offered simple guidelines that could be applied to improve digital inclusion within organizations.

We would like to thank the lecturer for the presentation and invite all participants to follow the upcoming seminars in the series: https://www.famnit.upr.si/sl/ponedeljkov-seminar-rin/latest
