UP FAMNIT Locations
Koper
The seat of UP FAMNIT is located in the center of Koper, at Glagoljaška ulica 8. In addition to lecture halls and common areas (lobby, conference room), you will also find most of the contact services at this address (Secretariat and Reception Office, Student Services, International Office, Communication Office, IT Services), as well as offices of staff working within the Department of Psychology.
In the immediate vicinity, at Kettejeva 1, there is the “Galeb” building, where offices of staff from the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Information Sciences and Technologies are located.
Besides these central buildings used by the faculty, some activities also take place at other locations in Koper, all within the old town core:
- At Muzejski Trg 2 (very close to the faculty), the Human Resources Department has its premises
- At Santorijeva 7 (teachers’ offices),
- Lectures also take place at UP FHŠ premises (Titov trg 5) and at Trg Brolo 12.
Parking spaces nearby are available at Belveder Parking Garage (Muzejski trg), at Ukmarjev trg (pier), opposite the passenger terminal, at Vergerjev trg, and behind the market (which is also the largest). All parking lots are paid.
Izola
Some study programs are also partially conducted in Izola — in the Livade 1.0 building (address: Livade 6, 6310 Izola) and in the InnoRenew CoE building (address: Livade 6a, 6310 Izola).
In Livade 1.0, students and staff have access to modern laboratories, teaching practice rooms, lecture halls, and offices for teachers and researchers working within the Department of Applied Natural Sciences and the Department of Biodiversity. The study programs primarily conducted in the Livade 1.0 building are undergraduate programs in Conservation Biology, Agronomy, and Bioinformatics, as well as the master’s program in Nature Conservation (the location of each study program is specified in the basic data within the presentation of each individual program).
In the InnoRenew CoE building, study programs related to the built environment are offered. The building provides students and staff with modern laboratories, lecture halls, and offices for teachers and researchers. The study programs in the field of the built environment include the undergraduate program Wood Innovation for Sustainability, the master’s program Sustainable Built Environments, and the doctoral program Renewable Materials for Healthy Built Environments.
Parking spaces are available free of charge in front of the Livade 1.0 building (access with an ID card for employees and students of the University of Primorska), and for employees also in front of the InnoRenew CoE building. Parking is also available at other locations in the city center; these parking lots are paid.
