Wednesday, 18 June 2025 15th Graduation Ceremony
On Tuesday and Wednesday, June 17 and 18, 2025, the 15th Graduation Ceremony of UP FAMNIT took place in the hall of Sv. Frančišek Asiški in Koper.
Today, on the verge of our faculty's 20th anniversary, studies and research at FAMNIT are even more interdisciplinary. The result of this interconnection, combined with high-quality work, is not only scientific excellence but also a broad academic offering. FAMNIT offers 7 undergraduate, 8 master's, and 6 doctoral study programmes, more than half of which are also implemented in English. Consequently, the number of enrolled students and graduates has increased. There were a record-breaking 143 graduates in the past year, which is why, for the first time, the graduation ceremony was held over two days.
The 15th generation of graduates was first addressed by the Rector of the University of Primorska, Prof. Dr. Klavdija Kutnar, and the Dean of UP FAMNIT, Prof. Dr. Ademir Hujdurović.
Congratulations on the completion of studies were also extended by two alumni of our faculty. On Tuesday, graduates were addressed by Andreja Grobiša, who completed the Mediterranean Agriculture study programme and currently serves as the Secretary General of the Slovenian Rural Youth Association, where she actively contributes to the development and networking of young people in rural areas. On Wednesday, Gašper Moderc addressed the graduates. He completed both the undergraduate and master's programmes in Computer Science and is now a game developer at Outfit7.
Graduates also shared their memories and experiences: on Tuesday, Tilen Gimpelj (BSc in Bioinformatics) and Aleksa Đorđević (MSc in Mathematical Sciences); on Wednesday, Maša Možina (BSc in Conservation Biology) and Matija Zagoranski (MSc in Psychology and Biopsychology).
The musical programme was provided by students from the Music School Koper: Anna Sofia Dodič on harp, Maša Kogovšek on guitar, and Vita Novak on accordion.
This year as well, the Faculty awarded commendations to students who achieved outstanding results in their studies or research, or who made significant contributions to the development of extracurricular activities. The recipients of commendations for academic/research achievements are:
