German Federal Environmental Foundation Scholarship Program

The German environmental foundation Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU) invites you to participate in a scholarship program for citizens of 19 Central European countries. The aim of the program is to enable graduates to acquire further professional qualifications for solving tasks in the field of environmental and nature protection in their home country.

The scholarship lasts six to twelve months and includes a multi-week German course. Scholars can choose a host institution in Germany from a number of universities, research institutes, companies or associations.

Scholarship conditions can be found on the home page of the foundation or in the brochure.

The deadlines to apply for the CEE scholarship programme will be 5 March and 5 September yearly.


German Academic Exchange Service Scholarshipstop

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers various scholarships for graduates, research scholarships for doctoral students, postdoctoral students and young scientists, working scholarships for higher education teachers and higher education summer courses for foreign students and graduates in Germany.

Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Scholars and Artiststop

Each year the Swiss Confederation awards Government Excellence Scholarships to promote international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and over 180 other countries. The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships are aimed at young researchers from abroad who have completed a master’s degree or PhD and at foreign artists holding a bachelor’s degree:

The call is published on the website of the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation, and instructions for submitting the application are available HERE.

Interested candidates receive the application documents exclusively on personal request, which they send to the e-mail address of the Embassy of Switzerland in the Republic of Slovenia: ljubljana@eda.admin.ch

The Embassy of Switzerland in the Republic of Slovenia accepts applications from 2 September to 1 December 2021, by registered mail or in person at the Embassy's address. Prior notice is required for personal submission of the application to ljubljana@eda.admin.ch


Summer Schoolstop

UP FAMNIT annually organises a number of different summer schools. Students attending summer schools can achieve ETCS credits. Our students are encouraged to attend summer schools and further deepen their knowledge.
