Today, 33 students and 2 teachers from Gimnazija Vič visited UP FAMNIT.
After a welcome address, we began with the workshop "Games in Nature", led by Assist. Prof. Dr. Barbara Boldin. In an engaging and accessible way, she demonstrated how animal decision-making in various situations can be represented using mathematical games, while also introducing basic ideas from game theory.
In the next workshop, "From Snakes and Ladders to Stock Prices", Assist. Dr. Ana Zalokar from the Department of Mathematics explained the connection between the board game Snakes and Ladders and stock price movements.
