From 1 to 8 September 2026, the second and third application periods are open for applications for the remaining available places within the Call for Enrolment in Doctoral Study Programmes (3rd Cycle) for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The second application period is open for candidates who are Slovenian citizens, citizens of EU Member States, and Slovenes living abroad and in border areas. Available places are offered in the following study programmes:

• Mathematical Sciences (Slovenian and English versions),
• Renewable Materials for Healthy Built Environments (Slovenian and English versions),
• Computer Science and Informatics (Slovenian and English versions),
• Suicidology and Mental Health (Slovenian and English versions),
• Conservation Biology (Slovenian and English versions).

The third application period is open for citizens of Western Balkan countries with which the Republic of Slovenia has concluded bilateral agreements in the field of education (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Serbia, and North Macedonia). Available places are offered in the following study programmes:

• Mathematical Sciences (Slovenian and English versions),
• Renewable Materials for Healthy Built Environments (Slovenian and English versions),
• Computer Science and Informatics (Slovenian and English versions),
• Suicidology and Mental Health (English version),
• Conservation Biology (Slovenian and English versions).
