Residents of Slovenia’s coastal region invited to take part in a study on indoor environmental quality in homes

Researchers from InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM invite residents of Slovenia’s coastal region to participate in a study on indoor environmental quality in homes. The aim of the study is to contribute to improving indoor environmental quality and to work together with local residents to shape the scope and approach of this type of research. The researchers emphasize the importance of involving members of the public from the early stages of planning in studies that directly affect their everyday lives.

Participation includes attending workshops focused on planning the study, discussing its development, and becoming familiar with the sensor and dashboard that will be used. An indoor environmental quality sensor will be installed in each participant’s home to monitor indoor conditions, and participants will be asked to complete a short questionnaire once a month.

For the duration of the study, participants will receive a sensor for monitoring temperature, humidity, and air quality, as well as access to a dashboard where they can view the data collected by the sensor. In addition, they will have the opportunity to actively contribute to shaping the research process and the way results are communicated, ensuring that the study and its presentation are as meaningful and practically useful as possible for members of the public.

We are looking for residents of Slovenia’s coastal region who are willing to place an indoor environmental quality sensor in their home, occasionally complete short questionnaires, and participate in workshops held at the InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM premises at Livade 6a in Izola.
