On Wednesday, 23 September, the Bonistra organic farm hosted an Open Day. This year’s event, held on the occasion of European Organic Day, was organised as part of the Consortium for Organic Agriculture of Slovenia, whose partners include Bonistra and the University of Primorska, Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies (UP FAMNIT).
The event was designed as a practical and inclusive gathering, offering participants an opportunity to tour the farm, exchange experiences and discuss specific challenges in organic agriculture. Particular emphasis was placed on bringing participants together, exchanging knowledge and experiences, and transferring professional knowledge into practice.
The programme began at 10 a.m. with a presentation of the farm and a tour of the plantations. This was followed by a presentation of the activities of the Consortium for Organic Agriculture of Slovenia and the planned establishment of a rosemary collection plantation. The event concluded with a joint discussion of current topics and practical advice.
The event provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge, experiences and good practices, as well as to connect stakeholders working in the field of organic agriculture.
