Library

The library activities of the University of Primorska (UP) are carried out within its member institution – the University Library of the University of Primorska (UP UK).

As a university library, UP UK performs public service duties in accordance with the law, primarily supporting the study and research processes of UP members. It carries out its activities mainly for students, higher education teachers and staff, as well as researchers.

Its services include lending library materials, providing information about library services and collections, and training users in how to use the library. The creation, management, and editing of researchers’ bibliographies in the COBISS system are carried out for registered researchers of UP member institutions.

UP UK also serves as an information center for scientific and professional information, providing access to data from the academic and professional fields of UP members. It sources this information from its own and subscribed databases, as well as various online information services, and delivers it in person, by phone, or via email.
