Filip Majstorović, a new Doctor of Science

This Thursday, 17 September 2026, we welcomed another Doctor of Science at UP FAMNIT.

Filip Majstorović, student of the doctoral study programe Renewable Materials for Healthy Built Environments (in English) at UP FAMNIT has successfully defended his doctoral thesis Molecular-Level Wood-Water lnteractions: The Role of Hydrogen Bonding and Cell Wall Free Volume (lnterakcije med lesom in vodo na molekularni ravni: Vloga vodikovih vezi in prostega prostora v celični steni); under the mentorship of Prof. Bohumil Kasal, PhD and co-mentorship of Prof. Matthew John Schwarzkopf, PhD.
