SOCIAL AND STUDY SPACE “GLAGOLJAŠKA LOBBY”
Location
Social and study space for students and staff, also used for events organized by the faculty or university, or as part of extracurricular activities. All activities must be carried out in a way that does not disrupt other visitors or nearby lecture rooms and offices.
The lobby is located on the ground floor of the building.
The space includes:
- In the entrance area of the lobby (by the building entrance), there is a self-service vending machine for drinks and snacks.
- Electricity is available, so charging or connecting phones, laptops, tablets, and wireless speakers or similar devices is allowed. However, it is not intended for charging electric scooters, bicycles, or other means of transport.
- Portable whiteboards – intended for study use or as display boards during events.
- Screen, projector, speakers – use is permitted exclusively by prior arrangement with the faculty’s IT Services.
The space must be used responsibly. In the event of any equipment issues or observed violation of the lobby usage rules, users should be reminded or the Reception Office should be informed.
The lobby is accessible 24/7, all year round, for UP FAMNIT students and staff.
Entry is possible:
- from 7:00 a.m. to 7 p.m. through the main building entrance,
- outside these hours via the entrance from Muzejski trg, using a UP student card or a QR code (found in the STUDO app, in the side menu under “UP Digital Key”), which is scanned at the installed QR reader.
STUDY SPACE “GALEB LOBBY”
Location
Study space for students, which is occasionally also used for events (organized by the faculty/university or as part of extracurricular activities). All activities must be carried out in a way that is not disruptive to other visitors and (in particular) the teaching process taking place in FAMNIT-RLAB5.
The lobby is located on the ground floor of the building.
The space includes:
- Electricity – charging or connecting phones, laptops, tablets, and wireless speakers (or similar devices) is allowed. However, it is not intended for charging electric scooters, bicycles, or other means of transport.
- Three fixed computers – intended for student use.
- Projector and screen – use is permitted only by prior arrangement with the faculty’s IT Services.

- from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. through the main building entrance (from Kidričeva Street),
- using a UP student card or a QR code (found in the STUDO app, in the side menu under “UP Digital Key”), which is scanned at the installed QR reader.
LECTURE ROOM FAMNIT-MP7
Location
The lecture room is located on the ground floor of the building and is available to students during weekends and holidays exclusively for study purposes. Entry to the lecture room during weekends and holidays is possible from Muzejski trg.
Reservation of the lecture room is made by a student through the Student Services, by sending a completed form Request for the Reservation of a Classroom to the email address referat@famnit.upr.si.
The lecture room key is collected by the student at the Reception Office (pickup is possible on weekdays from 8:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m.) and must be returned to the Reception Office by Monday at 10:00 a.m.
RESERVATION OF LECTURE ROOMS AND AVAILABILITY DURING EXAM PERIODS
Throughout the entire academic year, students are allowed to use unoccupied lecture rooms based on PRIOR RESERVATION. Reservation of the lecture room is made by a student through the Student Services, by sending a completed form Request for the Reservation of a Classroom to the email address referat@famnit.upr.si.
Lecture rooms at Glagoljaška ulica 8 are available between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., while lecture rooms at Trg Brolo 12 are available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
DURING EXAM PERIODS, students are allowed to use unoccupied lecture rooms WITHOUT prior reservation, under the following conditions:
- This rule applies in Koper to lecture rooms in buildings at Glagoljaška ulica 8 and Trg Brolo 12, and at the Livade 1.0 location only to lecture room FAMNIT-3.
- This rule does NOT apply to computer classrooms (RLABs) and laboratory rooms.
- Use is permitted exclusively for studying.
- Lecture rooms at Glagoljaška ulica 8 are available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., lecture rooms at Trg Brolo 12 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and lecture room FAMNIT-3 at Livade 1.0 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Lecture rooms are unlocked; if a room is locked, contact the Reception Office.
Students check room availability themselves via the online schedules.
MEETING ROOM AT GLAGOLJAŠKA ULICA 8, KOPER
Location
The meeting room is located on the ground floor of the building, next to the lobby.
It is intended for various activities, primarily for faculty staff (meetings, sessions of governing bodies and committees, etc.). In the case of events held in the lobby, it is also used for catering.
The meeting room can also be used by students for meetings and sessions (especially meetings of the Faculty Student Council). A request for the use of the meeting room must be sent by a student to the Reception Office (sprejemna.pisarna@famnit.upr.si), clearly describing the time slot and purpose of use.
If the request is approved, the student collects the key at the Reception Office (pickup is possible on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and returns it immediately after use, or if the use ends after 3:00 p.m., by 10:00 a.m. the following day at the latest.
MixUP LIVADE 1.0
Location
The MixUP space in the Livade 1.0 building is accessible to UP students who attend lectures and exercises at the Livade location

Location
Reading room spaces with borrowing and returning of materials are available to all registered users and operate 24/7, every day of the year.
