Friday, 22 May 2026 Research Day at the Piran Grammar School and Secondary School for Electrical Engineering and Maritime Studies

Each year, third-year students at the Piran Grammar School and Secondary School for Electrical Engineering and Maritime Studies undertake research projects on topics of their own choosing. At the end of the process, the school hosts its traditional “Research Day,” an event designed to highlight the importance of research and give students insight into how research is conducted in practice.

This year’s event was also attended by Prof. Matjaž Kljun from the Department of Information Sciences and Technologies, who introduced students to his research work and the fields of modern information technologies.

After the presentation, some students also presented their first research findings, showcasing the diversity of research topics and the creativity of young researchers.
